1994年 was a year in which a number of events important to the production of Doctor Who and its spin-offs occurred.

8月

• 8月24日 - Writer John Leekley submitted the first draft of his script for the 1996 TV movie, based on his revised 7月27日 storyline. The most noticeable change from his last submission was a new cliffhanger involving a confrontation between Davros and the Daleks and the Doctor and Lizzie Travis. He submitted a fuller script on 9月8日.

10月

• 10月7日 - Writer Robert deLaurentis submitted the first draft of his version of the storyline for the 1996 TV movie, adapted from John Leekley's 8月24日 script. In this new adaptation, the Doctor finds out that his father is involved in a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler, and meets up with him a half a century later. He completed a draft script based on this storyline on 12月17日.

11月

• 6-7, 9-11 and 11月13日 - The BBC Radio 2 audio story The Ghosts of N-Space was recorded at Maida Vale 6.
